BioPureAir to Sell Revolutionary Air-Purifying
AgroSci Aerogation™ Active Green Walls in UK

BioPureAir will market, sell and install AgroSci’s revolutionary air-purifying Aerogation™ Active Green Wall system in the United Kingdom.

Aerogation™ is the world’s most powerful air-cleaning green wall technology. The patented system, created and sold by the U.S.-based AgroSci, increases the natural cleansing power of plants about 200 times, transforming them into powerful air-purifying machines that also improve humidity.

BioPureAir is a newly created subsidiary of Watermatic Ltd., AgroSci’s sole U.K. distributor.

“BioPureAir enables us to bring the air-purifying power of Aerogation™ to the United Kingdom,” AgroSci’s U.K. representative Christopher Herniman said. “Whether it’s polluted air outdoors or contaminated air indoors, Aerogation™ is the answer. I look forward to this cutting-edge product being available throughout the U.K.”

AgroSci CEO Chris Pianta welcomed BioPureAir to the company’s worldwide family of distributors.

“I’m excited to have BioPureAir on board and at full steam,” Pianta said. “We view the United Kingdom as one of the strongest potential markets for Aerogation™.  Our system is unique both in its massive air-cleaning capacity and its use of nature to remediate pollution and contaminants.”

AgroSci President Mark Prescott said, “Our partnership with BioPureAir extends our Aerogation™ Active technology into an exciting new market. Aerogation™ meets 21st century challenges to indoor and outdoor air quality headon. We’re excited to see this new effort take flight.”

Aerogation™ harnesses phytoremediation, plants’ natural ability to break down toxins, pollution, allergens and contaminants, and puts it on steroids. We accomplish this by forcing air into the plant root zone, accelerating the air-purifying process about 200 times. A modest 50-plant Aerogation™ Green Wall, for example, has the same cleaning capacity as 10,000 houseplants. The result is a powerful air-cleaning system, the most advanced on the green wall market.

A study by Prof John Dover at Staffordshire University in the U.K. showed that Aerogation™ Active Green Walls are highly effective at removing nitrogen dioxide, a dangerous diesel pollutant, from the air. Aerogation™ also rids air of hazardous VOCs, a disturbingly common problem inside buildings, as well as dust, pollen and particulates.

In addition to their air-cleaning capabilities, BioPureAir Active Green Walls add a powerful wellness and calming element to offices and homes. Studies show that workers surrounded by the biophilic effect of greenery are healthier, happier and more productive.

BioPureAir Active Green Walls use minimal water and electricity. Units come in all shapes and sizes, everything from fully assembled cabinet and wall units to stories-high custom-built outdoor and indoor installations. We can design a wall to meet any space and specification.

Study Finds AgroSci Aerogation™ Green Walls Highly Effective
at Breaking Down Dangerous Diesel Pollutant

Researchers at Staffordshire University in England have concluded that AgroSci’s Aerogation™ green walls are highly effective at breaking down a dangerous diesel pollutant.

In a recently released study, scientists found that an AgroSci Aerogation™ green wall reduced nitrogen dioxide levels an average of 62.4 percent. The research was done by Dr. John Dover at The Science Centre, Staffordshire University located at Stoke-on-Kent in the UK.

“The Aerogation™ Active living wall removed more NO2 than a similar passive living wall with the same number, species and volume of plants,” the study says. “The AerogationTM Active wall was more consistent in its NO2-reducing capability.”

NO2 emissions, which include high levels of particulates, cause and exacerbate respiratory illnesses. The federal government classifies the gas as a dangerous substance. The burning of diesel and other fossil fuels releases NO2, so concentrations spike near roadways, in urban areas and around power plants.

AgroSci President Mark Prescott, who recently spoke about the company’s AerogationTM technology at a London conference, and CEO Chris Pianta said they were pleased by the study results.

“Anyone who has driven behind a diesel truck knows the noxiousness of diesel fumes,” Pianta said.  “This study provides scientific proof that our AerogationTM green walls significantly reduce NO2 and fine particulates, dangerous components of diesel and other fossil fuel pollution. Our technology purifies polluted air, making bus stops and sidewalks -- entire cities -- healthier, cleaner and happier.”

“This research confirms our technology does exactly what we say it does: naturally breaks down dangerous pollutants such as NO2,” Prescott said. “AerogationTM green walls make both indoor and outdoor spaces healthier and more livable.”

AgroSci’s patent-pending AerogationTM technology employs an entirely natural system -- no filters or sequestration -- that magnifies the natural cleaning power of plants about 200 times. It accomplishes this by delivering air directly into the plants’ root systems, amplifying their natural ability to break down toxins, chemicals, including dangerous VOCs, allergens and other impurities.

In partnership with Watermatic, AgroSci’s UK distributor, Treebox has installed AgroSci Aerogation green walls at bus stops throughout the City of London to test their ability to scrub diesel and other emissions from the air.

AgroSci, based in Colchester, Ct., designs and installs both passive and AerogationTM green walls domestically and abroad. In addition to cleaning the air, our walls are aesthetically pleasing and custom-designed to fit into a wide range of indoor and outdoor spaces. Research shows that green walls increase wellness and productivity.

AgroSci projects include a three-story outdoor living wall on the façade of 1 Hotel Central Park in Midtown Manhattan and a large AerogationTM unit at the recently opened Gunther & Co. restaurant in Baltimore, MD.

AgroSci Installs Air-Purifying Green Wall at Norwalk Office Park

AgroSci of Colchester, CT recently installed an air-purifying AerogationTM living plant wall at the i.Park office park in Norwalk, Ct.

The wall uses the company’s patent-pending AerogationTM technology, which cleans air naturally without filters or sequestration.

“We are excited to add i.Park to our growing list of green wall projects,” AgroSci CEO Chris Pianta said. “Like all AerogationTM units, this living wall uses AgroSci’s proprietary technology to purify contaminated air. Our units introduce nature into the work environment, which studies show decreases stress and increases productivity. Interior or exterior living walls are a key component of any green building, wellness or sustainability plan.”

The approximately 7-by-5-foot wall includes four varieties of plants, 120 in all. The unit is in the office park’s lobby.

AerogationTM amplifies the natural cleaning power of plants about 200 times. That means the i.Park wall purifies about as much air as 24,000 house plants. The system scrubs carbon dioxide, dangerous VOCs, allergens and other contaminants by directing air into the plants’ root systems, where microbes and beneficial bacteria consume them.

AgroSci designs and installs green walls throughout the United States and abroad. In addition to cleaning the air, our walls are aesthetically pleasing and custom-designed to fit into a wide range of indoor and outdoor spaces.

Our projects include a three-story exterior green wall at 1 Hotel Central Park in midtown Manhattan, an interior AerogationTM wall at the Gunther & Co. restaurant in Baltimore, MD., a similar wall at a J. Crew store in Brooklyn, NY and test units at bus stops in central London, England.
