Modern design with a sustainability twist – multi unit residential quads set up across a courtyard layout needed a horticultural elements to diffuse the sharp lines and surfaces from the buildings.  Sound bounce, sunlight intensity and surface reflection were all reduced using artificial plant panels on the facades.  Leveraging the advancements in materials and designs, these panels have a 10 year UV expectancy and do not require irrigation infrastructure.  When considered, given the climatic conditions in Texas, the client steered to artificial in order to reduce maintenance and interference with residents for service to live plants.
